Yeah, he is. But its just cool fighting him in Sky Sanctuary. Angel Island falling in the background over the cloudy vista, standing on a rustic platform, him standing on the Master Emerald and charging his power... Most epic boss fight ever.

Nope, the most epic boss fight ever was in MGS4 where Snake has to fight his brother 4 times in a row, Snake and Liquid duking it out in the end of MGS4, Hideo Kojima has outdone himself there when he made such an epic final battle scene.

Bit off topic but came across this video when I was looking for game ideas.
Like Sonic, the remakes featured in this countdown should have just been done in 2D

Altered Beast got a 3D remake? Never knew. Good lord almighty it looks terrible!
I agree with everything on this list, except for the Megaman part. Megaman Legends and its sequels were some of the best dungeon crawling, story-telling experiences of a game you will ever play from the nineties.
Especial amounts of lolz go to the Sonic the Hedgehog mention. "This game series became a mass of cutscenes and confusion." I seriously think Sonic would be better if they got rid of the talking, or at the least, toned it down a bit.

3D if done well could be very fun, take a look at the Gundam fighting games and DBZ budokai tenkaichi, they are 3D but they're done well, Sonic however isn't done well in 3D and should stick to 2D.
Fact: Tomb Raider handheld games are 2D and it's the exact opposite of Sonic, TR series are better off 3D then 2D.

Turns out that Sonic Team isn't even developing Sonic 4, and is barely involved in it. Instead, DIMPS is developing it. They're the ones who made Sonic Rush and its sequel, the Sonic Advance Series, and the Daytime Stages (Read, Sidescrolling Bits) in Sonic Unleashed.

Thats great news! The handheld sonic games have been the best ones recently.
