Story updated..
A giant carrot from outer space lands on earth making a hole and results with
an earth quake, on this giant carrot lives alien rabbits and rats that feeds on this carrot

our hero is a worker who happened to be inside a mine near the landing site of the huge carrot
the mine entrance is closed due to the earth quake and he must escape the mine and investigate
the situation and discover why the carrot came to earth and what's the dangers had been brought with it.
while fighting the aggressive mutated animals that came out of the giant carrot.

Game Play
2D platformer in 3D environment
you play as a mine worker who's specialized in metal works at the mine
your main weapon is the "Blow torch" aka "blowlamp" aka flame gun :D
you mix several gasses to produce different flame types for different uses.
with some puzzle elements and tricky monsters.
and as much bosses as we can make!

to be honest i didn't excepted dark basic with 2D games look professional as with 3D games.
the game look promising and the graphic concepts look professional too :D

At last here's the alpha ... I know I am late, a bug came out of nowhere I had to rewrite a lot of code to fix it!

Controls:
Arrows: Move
Control: Fire
Space: Jump
X: Kick
Alt: Run (Push rapidly)

Note:
the hero sprite is not to be used in any other game, until we say so (we will, after we finish the project)
you can use the zombie for sure since it's a render of a free 3D model and it's a place holder.

Would have accepted your screenshots as alpha anyway.
Note the deadline for the final has been move to 5 July so plenty of time to iron out the creases.
