Sorry boys, the sponsored contest is cancelled :( :( :(
They thought we could do the whole promotion campaign (contest included) in only two days. Yeah right.. :(

In that case I guess we won't participate in the free contest. Of course it would be fun, but right now we have a big TCG board game project going on, so don't want to mix 'em up :D

You mean... you can't do magic? ;)

but seriously...
How about a short contest (2 months) for a simpler type of game? This may cause starting game developers to join in as well. I remember the first caiman contest (easter?) had loads of entries with complete games of all skill levels.
Think of games like paratrooper, brick-out, space invaders, load runner, etc. I'd rather see 50 simple games finished to a good standard than 50 abandoned ones that developers wasted months on.

Just my 2 pence...

A good idea :pals: :ooh:

I would like to see some defender games :D (tower defender, invaders, missile command, paratroopers or all kind of hybrids)
But also puzzle games and I have no idea what kind of puzzle games you can create when this is a contest for "Defender" games
:hmm:  :sighs:

Any ideas?

You could do any type of game really. I suggested paratrooper as an example cause it's a fun game with no overly complex rules and physics.
I like puzzle games too but can never think of an interesting concept :)
