Most Easy to use Game Makers

Postby Mugen9s » Sun Jun 15, 2008 6:31 pm

So im thinking of making games other than Mugen but i dont know what i should start using. I know there's "game maker" but are there any others? I dont have the best knowledge on game scripting  so a easy to use one will be great

Platformers or Space/shooters are what i will mostly aim for so something around that will be appreciated, also not RPG maker. (sorry but i just hate RPG's  )

So anyone help me out?

Easy to use Game Makers are hard to come by and infact I haven't came to a 3D Game Maker that doesn't require coding(Forget 3D Game Maker, It's not a Game Maker at all for me)

Anyway The Games Factory or its bigger brother MultiMedia Fusion from www.clickteam.com are the other easy game makers but they are very buggy as whenever I used them they crashed most of the time, So the best one is the original Game Maker that was made by Mark Overmars.

look buddy

in my opinion as A user of different engines for making games
I see game maker which lava mention it became my first choice
second one is Rpg maker VX/XP (so easy and friendly for making rpg based game but also
you can make whatever you like if you know the Ruby scripting and events
like horror platform puzzle metroidvania etc...)

I hope to see different kind of games from you
you seem talent and have a lot ideas for me :D
and yes in gamemaker if you like it
just read the help file you will know the basic
it's easier than mugen in my opinion

I've taken all your replies on board and I think I might get on board with game maker, I remember i started a game called "super luigi bros." but it never took off due to other business that i was busy with. So in the end it died but who knows the future has many possibilities but defenitely I wont be making one any time soon. Too held up with coursework, GSCE's and tons of extra curricular work.

Thank you all for helping me out with my conundrum :pals:
