Re: What are you listening to at the moment?

I've been listening on and off to Little Boots - Remedy. I’m not a huge fan of female electronic artists (I dunno… it simply doesn’t work) but from time to time there are exceptions to the rule. This track by Little Boots, is a prime example in an icky, gooey, sugar coated ‘girlie’ sort of way. The ...

Re: What are you listening to at the moment?

'Conversation Demo' Just for a bit of fun, I thought I'd post this rough mix of a demo I recorded in the last few days. I'm on a learning curve on how to use my new sequencer - REAPER (http://www.reaper.fm). The demo only has a simple drum loop as a timing guide, normally it would be replaced but as...

Re: What are you listening to at the moment?

promise not to laugh? I started doing miniatures a few months ago. currently trying to build miniature buildings. 1/4 scale is the smallest I have done so far. ( building is way different than designing ) There's nothing to laugh at. Hmmm.... the wife thinks all my hobbies are well...sad/boring. My...

Re: What are you listening to at the moment?

I'm listening to Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark –'Apollo XI'. I'm really enjoying the BBC's 40th anniversary programmes of the moon landing etc. Ok it's doubtful if they actually landed on the moon, still even orbiting the moon in the 60's was a technological feat. I'm enjoying the programmes so ...

Re: What are you listening to at the moment?

I've expanded your taste? LOL most of my friends and family moan that my taste is music is too narrow. oh the irony. My next track is by a UK band called Basement Jaxx. They cleverly mixed 2 Numan songs together (M.E. and This Wreckage) and came up with their biggest hit to date - 'Where's...

Re: MICHAEL DIES :(

Oh dear that joke was terrible  :hmm: Yup totally agree with you Sal.

I see that only people in the USA can enter the draw to win tickets for Michael's memorial next week. This decision beggars belief, why the special treatment for Michael's US fans?

Re: MICHAEL DIES :(

OK, even if that is indeed the case, Michael still felt the need that he had to buy them off. If they simply had no case or hard evidence it should went the full distance and Michael would have been admonished but he decided not to do that. Therefore, apart from Michael Jackson fans ie 1% of the wor...

Re: MICHAEL DIES :(

Farrah Fawcett's dying wish was 'Save the children', so on that same day, God took wacko jacko. :D Yup the greedy are already trying to exploit the (gormless) fans. The promoters are saying 'hey, why not keep your ticket as memorabilia instead of a refund, it'll be worth something some day'. I beg y...

Re: MICHAEL DIES :(

Oh dear....I shouldn't laugh but I must admit the joke brought a slight smile to my face. :teehee: Let's face it, if Michael Jackson was a nobody and lived in your street and died I'm pretty sure residents would be glad to see the back of him. Known to have taken drugs on a regular basis and had a q...

Re: MICHAEL DIES :(

To be honest, I couldn't care less. Ok he was a famous pop star (well...his career was on a downward spiral). Yes, Michael was undeniably influential back in the 70's and 80's but that's about it. As for his kiddie fiddling...well...I've tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but he did pay-off ...
